CoreWeave

CoreWeave is an AI cloud company that rents GPU infrastructure for AI training and inference.

CoreWeave is an American company that rents GPUs needed for AI learning and inference through the cloud. Originally a cryptocurrency mining company, it grew rapidly by converting its GPUs to AI, and has become a company representing a new industry called AI specialized cloud.

Unlike general clouds such as AWS, it is characterized by providing infrastructure optimized only for AI workloads. As a company directly invested by NVIDIA, it is known for securing the latest GPUs first, and has been at the center of the news by signing contracts worth tens of trillions of won with large customers such as OpenAI and Microsoft. It is considered a barometer of the AI infrastructure investment boom following its listing on the U.S. stock market.

However, it is also a frequent subject of the AI bubble debate, where risk factors such as massive debt for GPU purchases, dependence on a small number of customers, and shock when AI demand slows are also discussed.
