AI Ethics

AI Ethics is a field that deals with social issues caused by AI, such as bias, discrimination, privacy, and jobs.

AI ethics is a field that deals with the problems that AI causes in society, such as bias and discrimination, invasion of privacy, job changes, and misinformation. For example, if a recruiting AI learns biases from past data and undervalues certain genders, this becomes both a technical and an ethical issue.

The importance of AI has grown as it has begun to be used in decisions that directly affect people's lives, such as hiring, loan screening, and healthcare. The establishment of corporate AI ethics principles, regulatory legislation in each country, and guidelines of international organizations are all being created based on this discussion.

It is a common misunderstanding to view AI ethics only as regulations that hinder technological development. Since unreliable AI is ultimately shunned by the market, ethics is close to the condition that makes AI useful for a long time.
